Having considerable experience working in rural and remote locations providing dental nursing support to dentists caring for indigenous Australians and having worked in private dental practices in a number of states and territories, Sarah has a very wide spectrum of experience from the provision of emergency dental care to high-end prosthodontics (crown and bridge work and advanced restorative care).

A Talented Team

After over 20 years of general dentistry, Sarah Pollock sought further challenges within dentistry and NQ Surgical Dentistry was fortunate to attract her to our multi-talented team. She has enjoyed the additional challenges that surgical dentistry has offered her and now gains great satisfaction from helping provide surgical treatment to help patients with extensive dental disease or severely compromised teeth due to trauma, decay or gum disease.

Experience

Sarah is now a very experienced surgical nurse working with Dr. Colin Priestland in the practice and in operating theater at the Mater Hospital Day Surgery Unit. She assists in oral surgical procedures including multiple tooth removal, bone grafting, placement of dental implants and a range of dental restorative care under intravenous sedation for phobic dental patients and general dental care under general anesthesia for medically and developmentally challenged patients and paediatric patients.
