Dr Luke Pitty is dedicated to providing exceptional oral surgery in a painless and relaxed environment. With extensive experience in both public and private clinics, Dr Pitty offers a wide range of specialist services, including wisdom teeth removal, dental extractions, implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, and treatment for orofacial pain and temporomandibular joint disorders.

Education And Training

Dr Pitty’s journey began with a decade of service in the Australian Defence Force, where he provided dental and oral surgery services in diverse humanitarian and operational settings worldwide. This experience inspired him to specialise further in Oral Surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Science with first-class honours from the University of Queensland in 2012, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Surgical Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2019. Dr Pitty then went on to complete his specialist training with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Oral Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2023.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Pitty is passionate about humanitarian and overseas development work. He has participated in missions in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste, where access to oral surgery is limited. To ensure his efforts are impactful and responsible, he obtained a Graduate Certificate in Global Health and Development from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2022.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr Pitty enjoys exploring the beautiful beaches, bushwalks, and restaurants around North Queensland.

Dr Pitty is looking forward to working closely with referring dentists and is accepting new referrals in 2025.

Commitment To Continuing Education

Dr Pitty attends regular national and international conferences and practical courses not only to maintain his current levels of skill and expertise in his field but also to allow the introduction into his practice of new technology and improvements in methods of patient care. He encourages all his team to take an active part in ongoing professional education and sees this as a very important way in which the team can maintain their professional reputation.
