Dr Mohammed Shorab is a Periodontist, a dentist who furthers their training to become a specialist in their field. A periodontist specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease (a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the gums and bone supporting the teeth also known as gum disease), and in the placement of dental implants. They specialise in all things related to oral surgery, the removal of teeth, crown lengething, gingiva grafts.   

Education And Training

Dr Mohammed Shorab first graduated as a dentist on scholarship in Fiji in 1981. He then moved to New Zealand with his family and attended the University Of Otago to receive his degree in dental surgery in 1991. He also attended the University of Otago to further his studies and graduate as a periodontist in 1991. After working in New Zealand for a few years he moved to Australia to work in Queensland as a periodontist and lecturer at universities.

Dr Shorab attends regular national and international conferences and practical courses not only to maintain his current levels of skill and expertise in his field but also to allow the introduction into his practice of new technology and improvements in methods of patient care.
